The 2nd Annual Flushing Kids Arts Festival took place on May 4th, 2024, with an extraordinary turnout of 42 young artists participating in the event. The festival celebrated the vibrant spirit of Flushing by bringing together children and their families for a day of creativity and community engagement.

From the moment the event began, the energy and enthusiasm of the participants were palpable. Children of various ages showcased their artistic talents and imagination, producing stunning works of art that captured the essence of the Flushing community. The event featured a drawing contest with three age categories (ages 4-7, 8-13, and 14-18), providing an opportunity for young artists to express themselves and compete for exciting prizes.

The festival's atmosphere was filled with joy and positivity as families and friends gathered to support the young artists. Attendees enjoyed a day of art-making, mingling, and celebrating the creativity of Flushing's youth.

"We're thrilled with the success of this year's Flushing Kids Arts Festival," said Anthony Tam, President of Kiwanis Hope Foundation. "The event brought together children and their families for a memorable day of art and community engagement. We are incredibly proud of all the young artists who participated and shared their talents with us."

The festival concluded with an award ceremony, recognizing the winners from each age category for their outstanding artwork. The event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors and volunteers who helped ensure the day was a resounding success.

The Flushing Kids Arts Festival continues to grow each year, providing a platform for young artists to explore their creativity and connect with their community. The event serves as a reminder of the rich cultural heritage and artistic potential within Flushing.

We each have all the power to help transform our community. And we can begin right here, Kiwanis Hope Foundation. It takes all of us to work together to reshape the future of our kids who are deeply affected by this great pandemic.

At Kiwanis Hope Foundation, we have a strategic plan focused on education for those who need it. We are pleased to introduce our programs and our committee members who join our journey to success.

Free Self-Defense Class

Resist Hate, Defend Hope.

We are proud to announce the launch of a free self-defense class aimed at helping the community resist Asian hate crimes. Our mission is to unite the community and create a safer, friendlier, and more inclusive environment for society. Our mission is to eradicate Asian hate by providing education and imparting self-defense skills, equipping the community with the tools to confidently protect themselves and others. We firmly believe that through education and collective action, we can break the cycle of hatred and promote social harmony and understanding.

SchoolSupplies

A national shortage of school supplies is allotted to families in varying communities. Many low-income parents can’t afford to buy the supplies for their children.

EducAid

We are on a mission to educate the leaders of the future. This initiative will fund the educational path base on the student’s interests.

ScholarshipProgram

Today’s scholarships should be no different. We have an opportunity to support scholarly initiatives, academia, and nurture leadership.
